Artica is a licensed personal breeding facility. We keep a 10 dog limit and our dogs are never confined in kennels. Instead, they are raised on parklike acreage with our children, tolerance, love and the freedom to develop common sense and a good nature.
We are never complacent about our dogs, the pups we produce or the quality of care we provide. We have been breeding German Shepherd Dogs for over 16 years and have bred many generations of 'ARTICADOGS'.
Your puppy will get an excellent start in life because of our conscientious breeding. We are proud to have a very low incidence rate of any genetic fault or common disorder associated with the breed. We also have a unique approach to puppy rearing that results in calm, happy, healthy puppies that are easy to train. Our pups are trained to eliminate outside at 4 weeks of age thereby making the transition easy for both new owner and pup. Articadogs possess an amazing personality and are uncommonly beautiful, soon to become a devoted companion of whom you can be proud.
Not only do our dogs bring pride of ownership they also offer protection, security and much enjoyment. Our dogs are owned by veterinarians, professional trainers, and fine family homes worldwide. We have exported pups to Greece, France, Germany, Kuwait, UAE, Brazil, Iceland, across Canada and throughout the United States.
We are experienced in shipping procedures and know what is needed to ensure your puppy has a quick and safe flight. We ship from Vancouver International Airport and provide crates for air travel free of charge. All necessary documentation will accompany your puppy.

Cost: Artica pups cost $1200.00 each. They come with full registration. No restrictions, contracts or co-ownerships are placed on the pup so they can easily be registered with any kennel club of your choice.
Payments: We accept certified cheques, money orders or bank drafts in US funds. Pups can leave at 8 weeks of age and final payment must be made prior to departure.
Rebates: Effective January 1,2001 we will no longer be offering rebates for spaying and neutering due to recent cost increases.
Shipping: International air travel can be as little as $50.00 depending on your location in the US. Air fare can be paid at the airport when you pick up your pup. Shipping crates are provided free of charge.
Reserving: Early reservations are recommended for best selection as your request will be posted in order that it is received. Please include all your personal contact information along with the description of your dream puppy.
A personal cheque is acceptable for a deposit only. It will be voided and posted with your request.
Updates: I will confirm receival of deposits by e mail and send notification when pups are born. Pictures and updates will keep you informed of their progress and help in your decision, once choosen....

Your puppy is a purebred German Shepherd Dog. All purebred dogs must be registered with the country in which it was born, therefore your puppy is registered with the Canadian Kennel Club. A certificate will be available at no additional charge to the purchaser within 6 months of purchase date. Once you receive your CKC certificate you puppy can then be registered with the AKC, UKC or any kennel club of your choice.
Your puppy will have his/her vaccinations to date and have been dewormed. Your puppy will be micro-chipped for proper identification and will be in good health at the time of sale. Please have your veterinarian verify this when you receive your puppy. Every effort to provide proper socialization, discipline through professional training, keeping vaccinations and health records to date must be made by the new owner. Should any problem or concern arise the breeder must be contacted immediately. Registration papers must accompany the dog being returned and full ownership signed over to the breeder.
If, within 1 year of purchase, your puppy should die due to any cause not related to his/her breeding (eg. car accident or choking) we will offer a replacement pup at 1/2 price. A necropsy report and registration certificate must be returned to the breeder.
Since it is impossible to guarantee that no pup will ever develop hip dysplasia, we are making every effort to avoid such an occurance by x-raying our breeding dogs and thoroughly researching and studying the parents background. Hip dysplasia occurs in the developmental stages of a dogs life and is a malformation of the ball and socket joint of the hip. In the event that one of our puppys does become dysplastic we will replace the puppy with another puppy if the purchased puppy is found to have hip dysplasia in which the disease is properly diagnosed to be congenital and is not acquired or induced by trauma. An x-ray must be evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and the letter of diagnosis sent to the breeder along with the dogs registration papers. Microchip identification must be verified. If the buyer chooses to keep the dog then a certificate of sterilization must be sent to breeder with above mentioned documentation before a replacement is made.
Any dog returned shall be at the owners expense. This guarantee is not transferable and does not apply to replacement pups. Artica Kennels will not be held responsible for any expenses incurred and does not refund money. This guarantee is void if the dog has been bred, sired, or conceived a litter. Suitability for breeding is neither warranted or implied. This guarantee is void if temperament trouble is manmade or if inhumane treatment is discovered. We reserve the right to request the return of a dog with borderline or mild HD before a replacement is made. Prior to any subsequent sale or disposal of purchased puppy, Artica Kennels will have first right of refusal.
